Lighting Designer

Job Description:

The Nolan Lighting Designer is responsible for a wide variety of duties pertaining to the operation of HOG lighting console and preparation for upcoming shows and maintenance of Lighting Gear.
Duties include, but are not limited to:

Prepping and programming outbound lighting systems/orders for rental with close attention paid to special client requests and specific needs. This includes lighting consoles, wireless and wired DMX,
Dimmer Racks speakers, frack building, etc. among others.

Job Duties

  • Performs the Load-in & out of rental equipment.
  • Set Up and break-down of lighting equipment.
  • Focus and lighting adjustments to artist or event specifications.
  • Spotlight Operations/Lighting Control Boards operation & programming
  • Maintenance and repair of lighting equipment.
  • Assist with Production throughout the house as needed.
  • Accommodate client/ event Lighting requirements.
  • Responsible for safe and consistent operation of lighting
  • Ensure proper care and handling of all rental lighting & A/ equipment.
  • Interact with visiting production crews to ensure a successful show.
  • Distribute or create lighting plot plans.
  • Oversee and operate systems pertaining to lighting throughout the entire event.
  • Ensure Special Events lighting needs are scheduled and met.

Skill Requirement

  • 3 years minimum Tour, Stage Production or Corporate Event Lighting Experience.
  • Experience in stage lighting, Dimmer Racks, Hazers Lasers.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with HOG Lighting Consoles.
  • Must possess superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
  • High School Diploma

Physical Demands/Working Environment:

  • Ability to lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and/or stretch during shifts.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and move boxes up to 70+ pounds each.
  • Capable of moving up and down stairs.
  • Availability to work overtime during peak times which includes nights and weekends.
